Why am I not ready for a relationship?

I always daydream about having the "perfect guy" or whatever, but every time I could have a relationship with someone I get scared and feel like I dont want a boyfriend. I feel like I just want to spend my high school years having fun with my friends and not having to worry about a relationship. Is this strange for someone my age? I am 16. Please help!!
